The Zagazig criminal Court sentenced to life imprisonment a student, Abdul Khaliq, on charges of which he has no relation. These include demonstrating and burning police cars. The same court sentenced to 10 years imprisonment each of Omar Abdel Azim and Ahmad Azazi, while Abdullah Qawra, Ibrahim Henry, Mohamed Maher, Mohammed Al-Fateh, Anas Khalid, Mohammed Ayman, and Abdul Rahman Sami were given five-year sentences.

The regime security forces had arrested 10 students from the Tenth of Ramadan City more than two and a half years ago, when they were forcibly disappeared, and underwent systematic torture to admit to charges they did not commit. Signs of torture were revealed when they were brought before a prosecutor, as well as a video showing them undergoing torture.

The same court also sentenced three others with accusations of which they have no connection: a teacher, Mahmoud Sharif; an engineer, Rida Dayf; and another teacher, Sayed Tantawi.
