Student faces medical negligence

July 19, 2016

EgyptWatch has heard of the desperate cry for help from a mother of a child detainee, 18 year old high school student Ahmed Saeed el-Desoki Ahmed Abdo. Ahmed is detained accused of illegal assembly, destruction and incitement to murder in the case 2653 / 2013 Dakahlia. He was sentenced to seven years imprisonment and has had his appeal rejected.

The child was kidnapped on December 22, 2013, from in front of his home in Mansoura, Dakahlia province, by a private car. He was held in Dekerness Police station for seven days without the family having any knowledge of his whereabouts. Ahmed was then presented to the prosecutor and was sentenced. He remained in the police department, and is now being deported to a penal institution.

Ahmed’s mother complains of the intransigence of the police department management during the previous period in regards to his health condition. Ahmed suffers from anxiety and shortness of breath, and has also been found vomiting with blood in his vomit as a result of this.

The mother fears increased medical negligence with him in penal institution.
