Child killed by random military firing in Sinai

A child was killed after the Egyptian army bombarded the Tarabin family home in the neighbourhood of Sheikh Zuwaid in northern Sinai.

The child, named Yusuf Mohamed Halil, aged 11 years, died after the firing of the Egyptian army on his home district as military forces continue to fire indiscriminate shelling on the neighbourhood which also led to the deaths of dozens of dead and wounded many.

One month ago, a child perished after being shot by an army ambush of Sheikh Zuweid in northern Sinai. The child, Rahaf, who was barely a year old, died in the General Hospital of Arish after receiving a shot to the head.

The same month, on March 29, Egyptian army forces ambushed the Tarabin neighbourhood south of Sheikh Zuweid, where they opened fire on 35-year old Mariam, near her home while she was collecting some grass for her herd. Mariam was hit by two bullets, the first in the foot, and the second her stomach, which led to the death of her unborn child as Mariam was seven months pregnant.
